2009 NAHBA Conference

NAHBA's annual conference on the control of outdoor advertising was held August 9-12, 2009, in Branson, Missouri. The 12th annual educational conference provided outdoor advertising sign professionals with unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about best practices, share program challenges, and hear solutions from federal, state, local and industry's leading professionals. Summary of FHWA's Assessment Group Workshop -
              Definition of Nonconforming Destroyed Sign

On December 3 and 4, 2008, a workshop sponsored by FHWA was held in Washington, D.C. The workshop focused on the issue of defining a destoryed nonconforming sign. Click here to view the report.

Professional Development and Training

Core Federal-aid highway dollars can be used by the State DOTs for a variety of professional development and training of your workforce. Section 5204(e) of the Surface Transportation Workforce Development Training and Education Act allows the federal share of the cost of professional development activities to be 100%.
