These awards:
1. Innovations in Outdoor Advertising
2. Streamlining and Integration in Outdoor Advertising
3. The Chairman’s Award in Outdoor Advertising
have been designed to recognize programs, individuals, and innovations that have made outstanding contributions to enhance the outdoor advertising control program.
WHAT are the NAHBA Awards of Excellence?
This will be an annual awards program developed by NAHBA to honor programs that excel in the outdoor advertising control program.
WHO is eligible to enter?
Nominations will be accepted from any party that is an active member of NAHBA.
WHO will judge the entries:
The NAHBA Board of Directors will select four (4) individuals from various backgrounds and states to serve as the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will serve for a one-year term.
WHEN are entries due?
Entries must be submitted electronically by July 11, 2008.
WHERE are entries to be submitted?
Entries are to be submitted via email to nahbasubmissions@nahba.org . or a CD containing entry information may be mailed to NAHBA Awards Selection Committee, Attn: Juanice M. Hagan, Outdoor Advertising Control Office, Florida Department of Transportation, 605 Suwannee Street, Mail Station 22, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0450 by July 11, 2008.
WHERE will the awards by presented?
Award plaques will be presented to the winners at the NAHBA’s Annual Conference on Control of Outdoor Advertising dinner on August 11, 2008 in Montana. If the Winner cannot be in attendance, it is requested that a delegate be asked to receive on behalf of the Winner.
WHAT should you remember while preparing an entry?
1. Entries should fall into at least one of the three categories. (1) Innovations, (2) Streamlining and Integration and (3) Chairman’s Award. Please indicate which category(s) your entry will address.
2. Entries for the Innovations and/or Streamlining and Integration Awards should address as many of the listed criteria as possible in their category.
3. Entry must include a completed application form and a summary of the accomplishments of the nominated project, process, person, or group. Summaries may not exceed two (2) letter-size pages, utilizing a font size no smaller than 12 points.
4.4. Entries should include at least two professional quality color prints (JPEG) showing the associated project or person(s) nominated. The photos should be clearly labeled and identified with the entry name and description of the view shown. Please submit high quality images.
5. Entries may be submitted in multiple categories.
6. All materials submitted become the property of NAHBA and may be used by NAHBA for it purposes. No entry materials will be returned.
