Standing Committees
 
Effective February 25, 2009
 

Purpose:

There shall be three (3) standing committees: Commercial Area Designation Issues; Maintenance and Nonconforming Signs; and Administrative Issues. The standing committees shall provide agenda items for the annual conference and for biannual conference calls in April & October.
 
Appointment and Membership:
The Chairperson of each standing committee shall be selected by the NAHBA Board of Directors and appointed for a four (4) year term. The remaining members of each committee shall be members or associate members of the organization who volunteer to serve with approval of the board. Each committee shall select a Vice Chairperson to serve in the Chairperson's absence.
 
Meetings:
Each standing committee shall meet at the annual conference to discuss the agenda for the upcoming year. The committees may have other telephonic meetings as the Chairperson determines. Prior to the annual conference and biannual confernce calls in April and October, each committee chair shall contact committee members to request agenda items. Agenda items may consist of state issues, and committee members are encouraged to contact other states for suggestions. The chair will schedule a conference call with committee members to finalize agenda items. Agenda items shall be submitted to NAHBA by the set deadline.
